Who We Are
Our team consists of educators, researchers, and esports experts, all of whom are passionate about the learning potential of esports programs.
Kat Salazar has been involved in the educational space for the past 17 years. Her diverse set of skills and study which include entertainment development and design, game dev and design, classical lit, music, and analytical philosophy, has helped her to innovate. In 2015 Kat founded 2 companies. Kat’s technique of blending higher order cognitive skills and non-cognitive skills has proven effective.
Randall Fujimoto is the executive director of GameTrain Learning, an educational nonprofit organization that promotes game-based learning in schools and organizations. He has been creating game-based educational and training programs for over 10 years, prior to which he was an executive producer in the video games industry. He has master’s degrees in education (instructional design) and business (MBA).
Esteban Villatoro is first of his household to attend University in pursuit of his dreams at CSUN’s business school where he studies Business Management as well as acting as an active board member on his schools esports club. He has been an avid gamer all his life. He hopes to put gaming in a more positive light by highlighting its values as a learning tool.
Erin Alonzo is Overwatch Officer overseeing all Overwatch related things and coordinating two Overwatch Collegiate Teams. Twitch Affiliate. Erin wants to bring out the best in gamers and show them that being a part of the gaming world is fun, great, and resourceful.
